There are basically three phases to these cases:
Phase 1: starts from the date of injury until we file suit. I have been settling about 80% in this phase. here we gather up evidence, police reports, medical records and billing and lost wages, ect.
Phase 2: Complaint through-Summary Judgement, this phase is discovery, depositions and the insurance attorney’s doing their billing.
Phase 3: Summary judgement through trial and possibly appeals. Cases settle here or they are won or lost, because it is exactly what it sounds like “Trial”
*The whole thing is a little more complex then that, but that is the life cycle in a nut shell.
